If Cheetah is the fastest, what are the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th fastest land animals?

"Fastest" is a vague term. Cheetahs are good for only short bursts of speed. Over a longer course, even a human could outrun them. Thompson's gazelles are almost as fast and have more stamina. There are a couple of breeds of dog that are good for short bursts, the greyhound and the azawakh. When it comes to broken-field running, you might want to bet on an afghan hound to run down an antelope or even a cheetah. Note that all tghe dogs are sight-hounds. Over a three-mile course, NO animal can outrun a saluki, yet another sight-hound.
