Help With Ipod Wifi Signal?

I have wifi in my house. When i go on my Ipod touch, it recognizes the network. When i click on it, it works, but the signal at the top (which has three bars) keeps disappearing and reappearing. I cant get onto safari or itunes. PLEASE HELP!
