Can you take sudafed and mucinex cough together?

At 9 pm I gave my daughter mucinex cough. They are the mini melts. She is still coughing a lot and very congested. I rubbed her down with vicks and have a humidifier in her room...Can I give her sudafed now? Any other suggestions?
