stay strong and STAY AWAY! forget how he's getting along with someone else .why do you think he has not contacted you? it's because you've shown him that you won't be mistreated and since he's obviously a control freak he's turned his attention elsewhere.You've had a lucky escape.fill your time with something else and stop brooding about him have some respect for yourself and do not be fooled by empty promises such as he's going to change or he has issues/problems etc., he is abusive violent and a coward and his behaviour is completely unacceptable .Keep telling yourself you're worth more than that and in time the pain and longing will ease take my word for it .good luck!
